  Mini-power: Economical type PoE Extender

  Description Features

The Mini-Power kit is the most economical solution for PoE over coax application. By using EnConn's novel technology, PoE signal is delivered over a coaxial cable through the passive Tx. After passing through the remote Rx, PoE signal will go to an Ethernet port. The Rx can get power from PoE signal without local power injection. This converter pair is compatible with IEEE 802.3 af & at and provide >30W /0.75A PoE power to go through RG59 or RG6 coaxial cable. The transmission distance over RG59 coax cable is up to 250m and 150m for 10 and 100 Mbps, respectively.

The Mini-Power kit consists of 2 easy-to- install units: Tx and Rx
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE)

  • Ethernet over Coax (EoC)

  • Standard: IEEE 802.3af/at or Pre-at

  • Speed: 10/100 Mbps, full duplexer

  • Cable: RG59/RG6, 75 ohm video grade

    coaxial cable
  • Transmission distance: 10Mpbs :250m@ RG59 ; 100Mpbs:150m@ RG59

  • Power Consumption: Tx : Zero , Rx<=3W

  • Remote Powering ability: Max 30W

  • Fast and easy to install

  • Scalable

  • Compact size

Maximum PD power v.s. cable DC resistance

1. Used 40W PoE power injector of PENT1040B5600F01 for test.

2. Cable DC Resistance = DC Resistance of Cable Inner conductor + DC Resistance of Cable Shield.

3. Typically, regular resistance of RG 6 is 13 ohm/100m.

4. Typically, regular resistance of RG 59 is 17 ohm/100m.

5. Typically, regular resistance of RG11 is 4.9 ohm/100m.

6. Resistance of Low resistance RG6 such as WC5CFB16-200H is 3.7 ohm/100m.

7. Resistance of Low resistance RG11 such as WC7CFB-A is 2.4 ohm/100m.

8. DC Cable Resistance should include Lan UTP Cable, 10ohm/100M (for standard PoE interface, cat 5E)
