The PowerCat-130 enables Ethernet cables to reach 200m. It gets power through a PoE switch, and then forwards PoE to the IP camera at a far end. Unlike a regular PoE repeater, installers have to put a single unit at every100m interval, which causes inconvenience and in turn would cost more in the total infrastructure costs. With the technology, the PowerCat-130 let the Ethernet cables go straight 200m.
